Adam Stokes is an artist with an amazing gift.  He creates insightful poetic songs, with a remarkable melodic sensibility, and performs them with passion and honesty.  But seeing Adam Stokes perform live always leaves the listener with one thought, "what an amazing voice"

Adam released his first record “Friends Like These” in Austin Texas in the spring of 2000.  It was well received in the local scene becoming the top selling local record two consecutive months at the famous Waterloo Records in Austin.  Stokes' also gained national attention when he earned a showcase at CMJ in NYC in 2001, an honorable mention in the John Lennon songwriting competition, and had songs on a variety of compilation CDs.

2002-2004 saw Adam testing his road metal, as he criss-crossed the country on a self-booked, self-promoted odyssey of coffeehouses and small clubs.  Hundreds of shows, and tens of thousands miles later, he began work on a second record in Austin.

In 2005, Adam moved to Antigua, Guatemala and traveled and played in Central America adding an international contingent to his growing mass of fans. Returning to the States in 2006, work resumed on the new record, and Stokes was chosen as a finalist in both the 2006, and 2007 International songwriting competition.

Adam plans to release his second record “October Sky” in the summer of 2009.
